As some of you may know, a few months ago I was approached by the owner of The Maker’s Hub of Durham and asked if I would come on board as a guest author; writing the newsletters as well as publishing posts for the blog portion of the website. This was a huge honour for me as I love my local homemade makers community and supporting small businesses is something I’m extremely passionate about. While I was (and some days still am) nervous about having a larger audience reading my posts, having a closer connection to this community is completely worth about butterflies that may be flying around in my stomach.
About eight months ago, I myself started my own small teething accessory business and as scary as it was, I’m so thankful I took this leap because had I not then I most likely would not have gotten the opportunity to write for The Hub. Earlier today we published a piece that I had written a few months backĀ discussing my reservations about starting a small business and what it means to me that I did not give up on a dream I have had for myself for the past three years. If you’re interested in reading it you can find it on The Maker’s Hub of Durham’s website here!
Lastly, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported me following my dreams. Whether it’s reading my blog posts or ordering from my Etsy page or just taking a moment to comment/like my pictures, it truly means so much to me and I’m honestly so thankful for each and every one of you all!
