A List of Happiness Part 3

It’s been quite some time since I last posted my ‘Happiness‘ list. I was planning on doing a biweekly or monthly post about things that had made me happy but alas, obviously time got away from me and that didn’t happen. But after having spent a nice morning and early afternoon with Nate, it got me thinking again. What has made me happy lately? Well, I’ll tell you…

Nate’s laugh. He has the cutest laugh of all time. This will forever always be on my list of happiness because I can never tire of hearing it.

Seeing the progress on our new home! Every time we take the short drive out to see it, I’m more and more blown away with the completion. Our move in date is just around the corner!!

Friends with babies on the way. I’m having some major baby fever over here because I swear I have so many friends and work colleagues who are expecting. I’m dying for some newborn baby snuggles again.

Autumn is fast approaching. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve never really been a summer girl. I basically live for Fall and Spring. Come August, I’m already contemplating if it’s too early to start busting out the Pumpkin Spice coffees and baked goods. Today I noticed some leaves changing and even some starting to fall and it made me so incredibly giddy.

Nate’s speech. We’re up to between 15-20 words now. He’ll be seeing a speech and language pathologist shortly but I’m not concerned. I’ve noticed a HUGE improvement over the summer and I absolutely adore hearing his little squeaky voice saying “all gone”. That’s got to be my favourite thing he says. Don’t ask me why because I love it more than hearing Mama or Daddy. It’s just the way he says it I guess. He also says “I stuck” and it makes me laugh every time I hear it.

Packing up our house. This is  funny one to be on my list of happiness because I actually hate packing/unpacking but it’s just a reminder that our new adventure is approaching and although I’ll be sad to leave our current home; I’m definitely looking forward to our new beginnings.

Online shopping. I don’t exactly have an endless supply of cash to be spending on clothes for Nate but whenever I come across something that is one of a kind or completely different than anything I’ve seen in say Carters or Osh Kosh, I have to get it. I’ve discovered SO MANY marvelous online stores through Instagram and seeing how far some of these shops have come since I’ve started following them is incredible. I’ve been a repeat customer of more than one store and now seeing celebs like Rachel Bilson, Hilary Duff, JWow, and others starting to pick up on support small shops trend is amazing. It honestly makes me so happy to see these Mom Bosses out there killing it!

My blog. This blog of mine is my pride and joy. It’s also sometimes the bane of my existence. There will be days- weeks even- that go by where I haven’t posted anything and I’ll find myself stressing out and worrying that I’m “losing followers” but then I’ll have a day like today where I remind myself that I didn’t start blogging to get people to notice me. I started as a way to document and embrace my ever-changing life as a new mom and wife and nurse. Here I am a year later and there are days that I still struggle thinking that no one cares what I have to say but that’s all right with me. This blog will always belong to me and will always have a place on my list of happiness.

And there you have it! It’s just a small list of happiness for today but it’s more than enough for me. I’m enternally grateful to anyone who takes the time to read what I have to say. I don’t necessarily have pictures to go with this post but below you’ll find Nate in is ADORABLE Halloween outfit that yes, as soon as I opened them up I changed him into them and our new house which now is bricked up in the front! *Squeals of joy commence!*
